Manicure & Pedicures

Gel polish on average lasts up to 2 weeks

Avoid using Lanolin or Vaseline products as this can cause Gel lifting

Avoid picking off Gel, remove correctly or professionally at the salon to avoid any nail plate damage

Avoid using sharp tools to remove nail polish

Avoid using your nails as tools e.g. to open items
-
Use hand cream and professional cuticle oil from the salon to moisturise nails
-
Use gloves when gardening or washing up to protect your hands from drying and to prolong the Gel polish
-
You can apply nail polish over Gel nails for a new look but ensure it is removed afterwards with Acetone free polish remover
-
In between Gel polish applications purchase a strengthening treatment polish from the salon it’s excellent for dry, brittle, weak nails

In between manicures use nail scissors to remove any damaged nails and file any rough edges
-
On feet always file across to prevent ingrowing toenails
-
Use a nailbrush to clean underneath nails
-
Use a gentle exfoliating scrub weekly
-
Always dry hands and feet thoroughly after washing to avoid dryness

For bitten nails use a hand soap with a good ph balance, Use a treatment to place on nails to avoid nail biting

Always use a base coat to avoid nails staining

Always use a top coat to seal the polish
-
Have a manicure every 2-4 weeks it will encourage nail growth and stronger nails

Varnish Polish is touch dry after 15-20 minutes

Varnish Polish is completely dry after 2 hours
Facials

Exfoliate weekly applying a Swissdermyl enzyme peel mask for 10-15mins, gently wash off after

Moisturise daily with Swissdermyl moisturiser and eye serum

Drink plenty of water to hydrate the skin

Avoid exercise for 12 -24 hours

Avoid touching face and makeup where possible to fully benefit from your prescriptive facial experience

Avoid tanning and sunbathing for 24 hours

Temporary redness is quite usual and healthy but If a reaction occurs apply a cold compress and notify the salon

Facials are recommended every 3—4 weeks
Aftercare
Massage

You may feel sore so rest and relax after wards, avoid exercise
-
Drink plenty of water, avoid coffee, coke, alcohol and carbonated drinks

Leave oil on to penetrate into your skin
-
Redness can occur. If it persists remove oil and consult GP
-
Invest in a body brush to aid skin shedding and to improve blod circulation
-
You may experience for a short while afterwards cold symptoms, headache, increased visits to the bathroom
-
Massage is recommended weekly initially and then monthly maintenance
Pre Waxing Advice before your treatments

Avoid a hot shower or bath / do not moisturise area

Do not massage area / Do not shave

Wear something loose on the day

Avoid exercise / Avoid Tanning / Avoid applying deodorant
Waxing

Avoid touching or rubbing waxed area

Avoid fake tan for 24—48 hours

Exfoliate weekly and moisturise daily to avoid ingrowing hairs

Avoid shaving in between waxing this will give a better, smoother result

Avoid heat treatments & sunbathing for 24 hours

Avoid hot baths or showers for 24 hours, cool only

Avoid perfumed products & makeup on waxed area for 24 hours
Makeup
-
Cleanse, tone and moisturise your skin regularly

Drink plenty of water and eat healthily
-
Exfoliate skin weekly to remove any dead skin cells

Use an oil based eye makeup remover and always remove makeup at night
-
Avoid swimming, heat treatments e.g. saunas or hot tubs
-
Always wash hands before and after applying makeup
-
Avoid sharing makeup with others to avoid cross infection

Clean brushes and pads regularly
-
To prolong makeup avoid touching the face

Aloe Vera or clear mascara sets eyebrows in place
-
Aloe Vera is also a good natural makeup remover
-
Makeup can stay fresh with a fixing spray or pressed powder
-
Top up lipstick throughout the day placing powder on the lips first this will allow the lipstick to last longer

Use tissue to blot any excess oil or makeup to avoid smudging
-
If an allergy occurs remove makeup immediately and apply a cold compress
